Metal Roofs

Metal roofs, in the form of corrugated, galvanized sheets, have been a standard feature of barns, sheds and other agricultural and utility buildings for years. This type of roof is cheap, rugged, long-lasting and easy to install - perfect for a utility application. There are many choices from the galvanized low-end to the copper high-end.

Metal roofs come in several major types: concealed fastener systems include mechanical lock and snap-lock assembly systems: double-lock, batten seam, and t-panel are among the most common concealed fastener panels. The double-lock standing seam system is truly the top of the line roofing system. The double lock standing seam roof is UL listed for wind uplift, fire, and class four impact resistance. Snap together systems such as batten seam and t-panel are often used in instances where a locked assembly systems won't work--such as curved roof surfaces.

Metal roofs offer the commercial building owner an exceptional value--a premium product with a long life expectancy and competitive prices. When one considers factors such as the length of the roofing system's life cycle, maintenance and repair requirements, ease of replacement, resale value and environmental considerations such as recycle-ability and the cost of disposal, metal roofing is by far the superior solution. With a concealed fastener system no fasteners penetrate the metal roof surface. Instead, roof panels are attached with a clip that hooks over one side of the panel, screws to the deck and is covered by the next panel.

Regardless of the style you choose, in general, a properly installed metal roof should last you at least 50 years.
