Roofs come in all pitches and shapes, and working for a steep slope roofing material manufacturer, you come to appreciate that. This featured project is a great example of combining a composite shake roof with a flat roof system. DaVinci Shake in the Tahoe Blend was used on the steep part of this roof, installed by Statewide Roofing out of Oklahoma City. The homeowner with this roof will enjoy having the look of shake, but without the maintenance that comes with a natural wood shake roof. Because of the tile’s composition, DaVinci Shakes do not absorb moisture which is what breaks down a cedar shake roof shingle at an accelerated speed. Our shakes are also Class 4 Impact Rated so they are less likely to be damaged by hail, which is an important feature in Oklahoma and in many parts of the country that are prone to hail accompanying storms.
